THE NAME
Belvedere originates from the Italian language, translating into “beautiful view.” The Belvedere name is also historically significant. In the early 1910s, a 240 acre parcel of land, which at the time was located east of Calgary, was purchased by the MacCullough & McGillis Land Co. and the land was named Belvedere.
